Requirements This position is responsible for daily management of Federal Income Tax Audits to include coordination of information and responding to Information Document Requests received from the Internal Revenue Service. Interaction with members of several Departments within the Company, including the Tax Department, in order to obtain an understanding of the issues and relevant support to assist in responding to IRS under strict time constraints. In addition, to working with the IRS, modeling, tracking and quantifying FIN48 requirements as well as all related cash projections for potential audit payments and financial reporting purposes. Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercises independent judgment in developing techniques and evaluation of criterion for obtaining results.
Required Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5 years of corporate and partnership income tax related experience. Excellent analytical and Microsoft Office skills are required. The candidate must be self motivated and posses strong organizational skills. The ability to research complex tax issues and be able to quickly grasp tax positions taken is highly desired.
Desired Degrees/Majors/Accreditations/Skills: Certified Public Accountant, Graduate law and/or accounting degree as well as applicable license(s). Microsoft access skills are desired.
