As an Installation Merchandiser, you will be responsible for working with an installation team on store fixture installation of new stores, store remodels, store relocations and product revisions. Installation activities include moving card departments, building fixtures and merchandising product. You may be required to work with a variety of tools including but not limited to hammers, screwdrivers, box cutters and possible power tools. The position offers varied hours depending on installation activities. You may not be scheduled for work when there are no installations scheduled.Most installations will occur Monday-Friday during daytime hours. There may be some installation activities outside your immediate area, if this occurs, you may be asked to carpool with other installation team members. If an overnight stay is required, you may be asked to share a hotel room with a same-sex installation team member.
The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who can work as part of a team and/or independently in a busy retail environment. You must be willing to work a varied work schedule. The position reports to an Installation Leader.
This is a physically demanding job that can require a high level of labor and energy. The physical retail environment is varied and may include work in a back stockroom with limited lighting and less than ideal conditions.
In this position, you will be assisting with store revisions for approximately 10 Walmart stores in a 50 mile radius of Catonsville, Maryland. Hours will vary based on installations that are scheduled. You may work 5-10 hours a week with some weeks with no hours. You must be willing to travel up to 50 miles and you may be required to have an overnight stay 1-2 times per year. Your schedule must be flexible as you will be called on an as-needed basis. No weekends will be required and no holidays are required.
