Description: Civil Engineering firm seeks Land Use Planner. Candidate will be responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to complete land use planning tasks for our private developer clients. Main planning projects include comprehensive plan amendments, land use changes, zoning changes and concurrency review for each proposed amendment or change. This position may also assist with marketing and/or grant writing activities.Duties:
• Research and comprehend land use regulations and local comprehensive plans
• Coordinate with sub-consultants to prepare concurrency reports for land use changes (comp plan amendments)
• Serve as main author of applications and concurrency reports and collaborate with appropriate departments for submission materials for land use changes (comp plan amendments)
• Monitor amendment applications through the approval process
• Prepare responses to any Objections, Recommendations and Comments (ORC) reports issued
• Track and manage deadlines associated with the approval and ORC processes.
• Other duties as assigned
