Responsibilities:
Identify and evaluate optimum materials and formulations for Li-ion batteries;
Conduct electrochemical and physical testing of next-generation battery materials;
Prepare written and oral reports to engineering, marketing/sales, and executive teams;
Monitor current scientific literature to support research and intellectual property efforts;
Occasional travel to suppliers, customers, and production sites;
Support manufacturing, quality control, and safety/environmental teams.
Qualifications:
PhD in physical science or engineering: chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or physics, with a research emphasis on Li-ion materials;
0-3 years experience, including post-doc;
Strong knowledge of statistical experimental techniques and data analysis;
Works well in fast-paced team-oriented culture;
Takes initiative in defining and achieving goals;
