We are currently recruiting for an experienced, Product Support Specialist to work in our Carlsbad office. This position contributes to the continued success and reputation of the Company by providing superior phone support and technical documentation along with testing upcoming products.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provides troubleshooting and training over the telephone to contractors and users
Refers field related troubleshooting and training to the proper field service representative
Documents proper operation of software and hardware
Prepares customer suggestion reports for engineering and management to review
Test new hardware/software/firmware as needed prior to release
Provides proactive follow up to field related problems and training
Maintain a reported problem database
Create and edit product literature intended to improve the ability of the Company to support and train users in proper product operation
Prepare written troubleshooting guides for improved customer support
Provides additional field-testing of product enhancements and provide test results to engineering
Report field related problems to engineering
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED (2-year college degree or better highly preferred)
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
Irrigation experience recommended
Requires above average computer skills
Requires above average reasoning skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow-through without fail
Must be able to problem solve and break a problem down into smaller manageable pieces.
Requires a clean DMV and a valid driver’s license
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
