PETROLEUM ENGINEERING TECHNICIANDuties:
The position will be based in our Carpinteria regional office and will support our Development Team’s activities. Tasks include production database management, maintenance & analysis of production plots, water-oil ratio curves, and well down time. The successful candidate will also provide support to reserves evaluations utilizing the Aries program to generate decline curves and production forecasts. The Aries support may extend to economic evaluations if the candidate has the appropriate skills. The position will also assist Drilling & Completion team activities by maintaining well records in the Wellview program, generating and/or updating well histories, cost tracking, and invoice coding. Preparation of some budget data and exhibits will also be required. Based on the successful adaptation to the role, future responsibilities may lead to portfolio management activities.
Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have over ten (10) years of Energy Industry experience within a like technical support position, including recent assignments within an upstream operating oil and gas company. Candidates must have competence in the Aries program experience as well as in Microsoft Office applications. We desire a Bachelors or Associates degree in Mathematics or within a related scientific field of study.
